I had a marketing person come along and critique my website. It was one of those we will do it for free things. So i thought i would let her to see if i could improve it. I am always looking to be better and try new things.
What came out of it shocked me. She thought my website was very clean but (aint there always a but!) She felt that i shouldnt have everything i do on one website.
I should individualise the whole website, one for photography, one for business, one for treehut and a separate blog for each.
Her rationale was i cant be all these things. So instead she wants me to make 5 websites, 5 websites to update, 5 separate blogs. Her last comment to me was i should only really be one thing and stick to it.
For days i have been trying to figure out if indeed her advice is correct, or if my gut instinct and my knowledge base is correct.
I know as busy as i am i have no way to tender 5 websites, and i don’t want to have people clicking to find me. I am right in thinking and being proud of who i am. This is me! I like being all these things. They feed into each other .
I work with clients and if they need photos, i can do it. If they need a designer, guess what i can do it too. Treehut is my passion, why wouldn’t i share that with my clients, it is my heart.
My blog, well its a miss mash of business, treehut and personal, not perfect but hey im not perfect and that is perfect for me.
